Castle Hill is situated in the picturesque village of Lynton in the Exmoor National Park. Castle Hill was built in 1891 and still has many of its original Victorian features. We have recently refurbished Castle Hill and each of the 6 en-suite rooms are individually furnished to a high standard. We have taken inspiration from its beautiful surroundings and added the odd contemporary twist to bring it to life. Castle Hill is the perfect place to relax and unwind, whilst discovering everything Exmoor has to offer. The accommodation at Castle Hill is spacious, clean and comfortable. We have a combination of double, twin and family rooms. We also have three luxurious suites which have their own private lounge area to relax in. All 6 rooms have en-suite facilities with Freeview television, tea and coffee making facilities, alarm clock/radio and hairdryers. Every room has a lovely view of the breathtaking scenery surrounding Lynton. Castle Hill is situated at the end of the High Street close to all the local amenities and attractions. Lynton is a quaint, unspoilt village with plenty of gift shops and tea-rooms, pubs, bistros and restaurants in the area to enjoy. Our home offers a relaxed, informal base from which to explore the surrounding countryside. Only 50 metres from the South West Coastal Path, walkers and cyclists are very welcome, and luggage transfers can be arranged. Children and dogs are also welcome so that the whole family can enjoy this unique part of Devon!

We have a guest car park for your use during your stay with us. br / br / br / br / Each of our five en-suite guest rooms has tea and coffee making facilities bottled water hairdryer radio alarm clock TV and free WiFi. Luxury toiletries including hand and body lotion and vanity kits are provided. A traditional full English breakfast is served between 8 and 9am in our breakfast room. There are books and maps available for you to borrow to help you explore Exmoor. In the guest reception area there are racks of leaflets and guides to help you get the most from your stay with us. br / br / br / br / Little Fern is our one bedroom self-catering apartment situated to the rear of the guest house with direct level access to our private car park. The apartment can be rented on a weekly basis with weekend and midweek breaks also available. We allow well behaved dogs in Little Fern for an additional charge. br / br / br / br / We don t allow pets in the guest house as we have our own cat Barney. If you have an allergy or a dislike of cats you may wish to consider an alternative place to stay. br / br / br / br / Children are welcome to stay at the Fernleigh if they are willing and able to sleep in their own full sized bed. We have recently installed a high pressure hot water system so that all our guests can experience a great shower. br / br / br / br / Breakfast is included in the price using as much locally sourced produce as possible. Good quality traditional home cooked evening meals are available upon request again using the best of the fantastic food available within and around the Exmoor area. There is a small private car park available for guests. br / br / br / br / The house is close to all the attractions and amenities within the town. Lynton is linked to its twin town of Lynmouth by the famous water powered cliff railway. Woodlands Guest House

Woodlands is a substantial well appointed Guest House with an informal friendly atmosphere. Situated overlooking Summerhouse Hill and the unspoilt wooded valley of the West Lyn river, yet only a few minutes walk along the Lynway footpath which runs past the rear of the house to Lynton centre. Woodlands has a choice of double and twin rooms all with freeview tv/radio and tea/coffee making facilities. Most rooms are particularly spacious, beautifully furnished, fully en suite and have splendid views across the valley. Ideally situated for walkers or anyone looking for peace and quiet, the sun lounge with its beautiful outlook across the valley is an ideal place to sit and read or enjoy a drink. We are fully licensed. There is a private car park and a garden which extends down to the West Lyn river, also a boot and drying room with laundry facilities if required. There are many other little touches to make your stay more enjoyable, however, if you have severe mobility problems Woodlands may not be suitable as our drive from the car park to the house is steep. If you are not sure, give us a call and we will be happy to answer your queries.
