Dining Out in Lifton, Devon
Arundell Arms Hotel, Lifton
Food That’s Among the Best in England.
Fine-dining, Brasserie style, or hearty pub-classics, find delicious food to suit every occasion from different restaurant areas at the Arundell Arms. All use fresh produce from local suppliers and all are lead by Head Chef, Steven Pidgeon – internationally recognised for modern British cuisine and 1 of only 80 Master Chefs in Great Britain.
The AA 2 Rosette restaurant is always popular and attracts many non-residents. Fine dining dishes and attentive, friendly service makes this an ideal restaurant for any occasion.
Hotel Bar & Restaurant: The ideal meeting place at the heart of the hotel. Decorated with mementos and pictures reflecting our sporting history, in the winter there’s also a warming log fire. Relaxed, informal and always popular.
Private Dining: Birthdays, special family occasions or corporate events, our private dining rooms are suitable for an intimate dinner for 6 or a larger reception for 100. With 2 AA Rosettes, Master Chef Steven Pidgeon will create a menu to suit your exact requirements.
Courthouse Bar & Restaurant: Formerly the old police station and court, the Courthouse Bar serves home-cooked food, pub-favourites and dishes from the 'Specials Board'. Expect well-kept real ales and an admired list of wines at great value. Children and well-behaved dogs are welcome.
Fine Wines: We take great interest in our wine list; a concise, balanced selection from quality-conscious growers around the world. We adopt a policy of sensible prices, prefering to see bottles drank rather than gathering dust in the cellar. Most are bought through Christopher Piper Wines, based in Ottery St Mary.
