Browns Hotel, Tavistock successfully combines historic with luxurious and classic features with modern style. This 17th century coaching inn has been skilfully restored to become a beautiful 4 star hotel, whilst retaining much of its original charm and character.

Browns Hotel is most famous for the memorable dining experience it offers guests. The Library Restaurant and Wine Bar is the social hub of the hotel and a place to settle in and enjoy the finest dishes and best of locally produced beers, wines and lavish cocktails.

The Whitchurch Inn, Tavistock

Map showing The Whitchurch Inn, Tavistock

Family owned since 1999 this 13th century Church House Inn is a favourite of locals and visitors alike. The Inn is ideally located between Yelverton and Tavistock on Church Hill next to the beautiful village church of St Andrews.

Since taking over the owners have transformed The Whitchurch Inn by exposing all the original oak beams and some natural stone walls. Two wood burners at either end of the deceptively large bar ensure that a warm welcome is felt by all. You may also like to visit our other charming inn, The Rock Inn at Yelverton just a few miles away.
