A component part of Devon Great Consols in the Tamar Valley, part of the West Devon Mining District. The mine situated about a mile north of Gunnislake on the eastern banks of the River Tamar. Wheal Anna Maria is situated between Wheal Fanny in the west and Wheal Josiah in the east. It worked Main Lode from Engine Shaft and Fields Shaft, South Lode and Middle Lode.

Production records report 373 tons of 4.75% copper between 1832 and 1835 for Wheal Anna Maria.
