Hexworthy Mine, Devon

Situated on the fringes of Dartmoor near the village of Hexworthy, the mine included Hooten's Wheals and Hensroost Mine. Hexworthy Mine worked Main Lode from Low's Shaft and also from Hooten's Wheals Lode. Hensroost Mine worked from Taylor's Shaft, Air Shaft and Skir Shaft.

Production records report that between 1891 and 1912 - 198 tons of black tin was raised. The mine closed in 1914 but the surface dumps were reworked in 1915-16 yielding 13.5 tons of black tin.
