Bantham village, Devon

Bantham is a coastal village, five miles west of Kingsbridge at the mouth of the River Aune (or Avon). The fine sandy beach is its main attraction. It has a reputation as being the best surfing beach in South Devon but is also very popular with swimmers and families. Bantham beach lies in a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB) and offers wonderful views over Bigbury Bay and the famous Burgh Island.
