Bradford village, Devon
One of many similarly named villages, Bradford is thought to be a corruption of the old 'broadford' over the river. Bradford is a small village and civil parish situated on the west bank of the River Torridge, in the north west of Devon. It lies about seven miles northeast of Holsworthy. The village church is dedicated to All Saints and is thought to date from the early 14th Century, although some features may be up to 200 years older.
