Digby village, Devon
Digby was once a small village in its own right on the eastern edge of Exeter. Between 1886 and 1987 it was the location of Exeter Borough Asylum known as Digby Hospital. Nowadays it is basically a suburb of Exeter known best for its proximity to Sandy Park rugby football ground home to the Exeter Chiefs rugby team. The area of consists of housing, out-of-town retail and light industrial units. It is served by Digby and Sowton railway station.
