Lew Trenchard village, Devon

Lew Trenchard is a parish and village in West Devon. It lies southeast of the larger village of Lewdown between the Rivers Lew and Thrushel. In the Domesday Book of 1086, a manor of Lew is recorded in this area. The name 'Trenchard' comes from the lords of the manor in the 13th century.
