June 19th 2011 will see the 20th running of this very popular seaside event; with demand for places steadily growing our race entry limit for 2011 will be 2000 runners. Early entry to this event is advised, as we may well be full before race day.
Additional traffic free road space has been allowed by Torbay Council for our event, which will be based on the usual 2 lap route starting and finishing on Paignton seafront. To avoid possible congestion there will be only one starting lap of Paignton Green before heading towards Torquay, there is also a diversion into Morin Road. An additional section been added in lieu of these changes where the course will now pass historic Torre Abbey on each lap.
There is an extensive prize list worth over £3,000 and includes prizes for all age categories from age 17 to 65+ years, also an award for the best Fun Costume. All finishers will receive a special Souvenir technical T-shirt, Commemorative medal and Goody bag.
