Wheal Impham Mine, Devon

Located on the Devon side of the River Tamar near Gunnislake and bounded to the north by Wheal Luscombe, Wheal Impham is known to have been at work in 1724 when it was visited by Swedish engineer Henric Kahlmeter. Records state that although it experienced highs and lows in its lifetime it was still working in 1799. It was finally abandoned in 1822.
