St Mary's Bay
St Mary's Bay beach lies just north of Sharkham Point at Brixham on the South coast of Devon.
East-facing, St. Mary's Bay lies on the southern outskirts of Brixham, between Durl Head in the northeast and Sharkham Point in the southeast. A mixture of shingle and sand it is the town's main beach.
The north end of the beach is rockier with more shingle whilst the southern section is slightly more sandy. The beach is accessed down steep steps from the coast path.
Parking is best advised at Sharkham Point car park, and then taking the ten minute walk north along the South West Coast Path to the beach. Parking at Sharkham Point is limited so it is wise to arrive early to ensure a space.
St Mary's Bay has no toilets or other facilities but can still be quite busy in high season. There is good coast path walking around Sharkham Point to the south towards Scabbacombe and Kingswear and north to the viewpoint of Berry Head and Brixham itself.
St Mary's Bay is a dog friendly beach in that dogs are allowed all year.
