Otherwise known as Greatpost Mine, Devon Burra Burra lies about 2 miles east of Tavistock beside Moorshop crossroads near the village of Whitchurch. It worked North (Brake) Lode, Middle Lode and South Lode lodes from White's Shaft and Whitburn Shaft. There are also several other lodes numbered No. 1 to 8. Production records report that in 1863 and 1873 about 187 tons of 5.25% copper ore was raised
