Little Duke Mine Mine, Devon

Otherwise known as North Tavy Mine and also Raven Rock Mine, Little Duke is situated 2 miles northeast of Calstock in the West Devon Mining District. The mine worked a copper lode from Whim Shaft, Gill's Shaft, West Shaft and Deep Adit Shaft. The mine lies on the western slopes of the Tavy Valley across from the Virtuous Lady Mine. The mine produced about 40 tons of 8% ore in the 1824, whilst in the 1850's a rich lode of tin was discovered.
