Notable minerals: Chalcopyrite.
Otherwise known as Ludbrook Mine, South Lady Bertha lies on the east bank of the River Tavy threequarters of a mile southwest of Buckland Monachorum. This was a rather short-lived venture. It opened in 1857 and worked three E-W trending copper lodes from Engine Shaft. In 1861 the mine is recorded to have reached a depth of 40 fathoms and was employing 30 people. The following year however it was closed and finally abandoned in 1864. There are no records of output. The site is now an enclosed private garden.
